I have been calling dealers to inquire about ADM. I found a few that said sticker and advised each what I was looking for (Limited). I received a call from Laurel Toyota in MD. We have an allocation for the truck you want. Great, I said, send the sheet and deposit form. Response, we need you to come in to make the deposit. Weird but OK, I was in the area. Long story short, they were correct about no ADM, BUT they have dealer-installed options to the tune of $5k that was mandatory (maintenance, paint protection, etc). They argued that at least you get a benefit and not just shelling out an additional 5k for nothing.

    Grrr.

I'd respond with "I'm glad there are 1,276 other Toyota dealers to reach out to"

Another member just posted this and will help you with your search. It will not tell you about the dealer add ons but will show the port add ons.

    Nothing major yet.
I would definitely just wait personally. I also don't love the idea of buying the first year of a major refresh

That’s what I have been bitching about. In my 4Runner inquires for vehicles in my region, those bitches loaded them with 5-9500k in bullshit.

If I get serious, it will definitely be out of state.

yep, I found one in PA since everyone here in the MD/VA area are not playing the game for OUR benefit. So once the EPA and Toyota come to terms, we will see them ship.

You should have bought my 2021 Nightshade Limited with 21k miles. It was like new and had a transferrable 10yr/100k Platinum warranty on it.

Atleast they told you. Few years ago I waited months for the new f150 to get in and learned just before final signing of papers that there was a $800 mandatory anti theft “gps tracker” tracker that could not be “uninstalled”

it was some battery powered thing laying in the door cupholder. Dealer didn’t even know it needed to be charged to even work or that it needed a paid subscription.

    OP, you just don't understand.

They install that Tru Coat at the factory, there's nothing they can do about it. I'm sure, however, that the Executive Sales Manager can knock a hundred bucks off for you, seeing that it's special circumstances and all.

    :D

Dealer add on's piss me off. I didn't want the shitty side step bars on our 21 4Runner, and they refused to take out 8 bolts and reduce the price. Instead I took them off when I got home and sold them for 1/2 my money back. Plenty of people want the factory steps. Sell them to those people.

I really wish they let people choose what they wanted vs forcing us to accept this 1000% markup on plastic stickers marketed as paint protection, and what is basically prepaid overpriced maintenance that 80% of people never show up for. Like I never showed up for my ceramic coating, now that I think about it.

It reminds me of the Gift Card money making machine where millions of gift cards get thrown away with .47 or lost entirely resulting in free money for the institutions. Never mind the fee some charge for the privilege of buying one. Sure let me, pay you 52.50 for 50.00. So dumb.

Sorry the experience was so bad. I wish more manufacturers could employ the direct-to-consumer model and allow for online orders. My Tesla purchases were much more enjoyable than any dealer experience I've had.
