Does anyone know what the stock built in crossover is for the tweeters. I've tried looking and don't see it posted anywhere. The cap on the tweeter says 2.2uf but using the charts online that would be 18k hz so I'm probably missing something.

It's inside the tweeter frame. That 4 pin plug is kind of a funky design - the tweeter takes the full signal input on 2 pins, then it will split and output the woofer frequency to the door on the other 2 pins. I'm not sure of the frequency. I don't think it matters, since replacing the tweeter means you are replacing the x-over by default.

sounds about right. the 86 tweeter high pass was similar. i had done the calculations at one point on ft86club. the tweeter in the 86 was somewhere near 16-18khz, and the dash mid was crossed somewhere near 12khz if memory serves.

it sounds high, but keep in mind it's also a very tame 6db/oct slope, so plenty just underneath the crossover point will come through as well, especially given the quality and small size of the plates of the capacitor used.

As a bit of a clarification, the tweeter connection doesnt send a woofer frequency down to the door. The tweeter connection itself is just a bridge and the door speaker connection gets a full signal.

it is a paper cone with no tweeter so it doesn’t reproduce high frequencies by default so to the best of my knowledge the door speaker doesn’t have any crossover at all.

as mentioned, if you are replacing the tweeter, you will be using the crossover included with the new tweeter so no need to worry about the factory one

I was thinking about swapping the tweeters out in my friends truck for Peerless clones and didn't know if could reuse the stock cross overs. Sound like we would need to buy some.

Aren’t Peerless pretty much all home-theater speakers? Typically 8ohms, typically low sensitivity, neither make for good car audio

They make a few speakers and tweeters that I've seen people on www.diymobileaudio.com use in budget builds.

    these?
    https://www.amazon.com/Zer-one-Composite-Tweeters-Loudspeakers/dp/B07W4TX6V6/

that's what i'm running in my truck currently. i'm very happy with them

the car has a genuine set of peerless ring radiators
    https://www.parts-express.com/Peerless-XT25SC90-04-1-Dual-Ring-Radiator-Tweeter-264-1014?quantity=1

these are slightly cleaner sounding, but only barely, than the clones.

    i beg to differ.

i've been extremely satisfied with my 6" peerless hds mids. they remain the only drivers i've ever moved between vehicles. most times i get bored and try something else

I gladly stand corrected. I was in the home theater industry before car stereo so I’m far more familiar with them on that side.

the point is somewhat moot in some respect though, as of 2023 peerless/tympany stopped selling to dealers in small quantities, which means many dealers dropped them, or in parts expresses case, they're running their stock out, and offering the product line but with a minimum 100-2,000 order quantity depending on product, and depending on popularity.
