Hey all first time poster. I have the chance to get some brand new wheels/tires from a guy to put on my 2010 Tacoma. I figured the fit would be ok but wasn’t sure about the TPMS system. So from my understanding the 3rd Gen sensor won’t work, but can I put a 2nd Gen sensor in the 3rd Gen wheel? Starting to second guess it.

Yes they will fit on your truck and yes you can put your sensors inside of those wheels

As long the 2nd gen sensors you are swapping in are not from the OEM steel wheel. Those have a different stem angle.

Yep it works did it with my 09, wheels from a 22 and sensors for aluminum wheels from a 2nd gen. I had to buy them since my old wheels were steel.

If you are swapping from steal wheels need new lug nuts... right? Someone mentioned the TPMS stem angle anything else to consider? I'm in the same boat. Got some 2022 wheels and tires, in reserve to swap onto my 2007 prerunner with steel wheels.
