Gandalf the Grey Daily Driver

Hey all, this is gonna be a slow process but I’ll update as I go along. I listed a quick story about my truck in my Newcomer thread so I’ll keep this strictly about the work I’ve done so far. I’ll try to keep it in chronological order as well…

First up is totally stock on the day I picked up Gandalf from the dealership!



Next I had to add some subtle stickers. MF Doom and Mastodon to rep some of my favorite music.




Then was bakflip tonneau cover after a long road trip to TX from NC.



After I got back to NC I added the splash guards and Lamin-X yellow lens film for my fog lights.







Next up was the Molle panel for the visor and the tray organizer for the center console.




Then I did these sweet LED license plate lights that made a huge difference.





My next (and favorite so far) mod is the smoked, sequential turn signals to replace the chrome (my least favorite).




Back inside, I changed all of the interior lights to amber and added a cargo net between the front seats to keep the pup from scratching the center console.





As of most recently, I just de-badged the truck as well to get rid of more chrome (gross).




That’s all for now. Next items coming this year will be a new grill with the raptor lights, head lights, tail lights and bed lights. Later down the road I’ll get into performance mods like a super charger, air intake, exhaust, etc. But those will take many more moons. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk ‍♂️

Thanks! The color honestly grew on me a whole lot and now I wouldn’t have it any other way. The small budget is always the kicker isn’t it

 

Added a rubber license plate frame for funsies and got rid of the ugly chrome frame.

 

I finally have an update! I ordered and installed the Form LED taillights and (not pictured) the gas cap holder. I also ordered the LED bed lights, however, I didn't pay attention to the model and ordered the wrong ones. Once the correct ones arrive I'll post those as well. I went with the smoked taillights to match my turn signals and I am PUMPED with the way they turned out. The start-up sequence is pretty bitchin' too.
