No. I see it connects to Marron Valley Rd. Looks like a nice long windy fire road.

Right? Nothing crazy, accessable, probably pretty scenic and lots of off shoot options. Im not seeing any No Trespassing signs so I'm pretty sure it's open game.

On a another note, we didn't get a chance to find the little lake near the old railroad tracks we talked about. I've been dealing with some health issues this year and it's been kicking my ass. It's been a struggle to go out and explore, very annoying!

Yeah, I forgot about that little trip. I’m up for either one. Get well, dammit! I’m going through a sinus infection at the moment myself.

Same to you and Happy New year, sheesh time flies when all you do it work..however I am NOT complaining to be busy!

Sorry dude!! You are in a bit of a wet zone now with the relocation but the fact that things are lining up for you is awesome!

Thank you! How has your Chemo been going buddy?
I somehow re-injured my shoulder a couple of weeks ago and it literally regressed to 1 month out from surgery which was a HUGE bummer, however it has almost gotten back to how it felt before I made it upset again which means I don't think I did anything too bad.
The weird thing about it is that I didnt even have any sort of acute injury that should have caused it and it seemingly came out of nowhere, I was working doing rear brake rebuild on a Tacoma, took a break for lunch and when I came back I was lame as an old horse! Haha..
But I'm back to semi normal again and have installed 2 bumpers and a couple of lifts as well as some CMCs and exhaust relocations over the past 10 days so seem to do hanging in there for now.

Hope you are having a good new year so far my friend!

    Turbo LS swap progress report:

So I finally took my block to the machine shop to get honed to size for the new pistons, its not enough of a size upgrade to do an actual bore.
I should have it back by early next week and also adding some Manley SS intake valves a new 5 angle valve cut decking the heads and the block as well.

One I get it all back I can start clearancing the bottoms of the cylinders for the new stroker crank rod/cyl clearance so things arent trying to make contact at high RPMs. It will be nice having a fully forged rotating assembly, I was a bit worried about the stock internals being able to hold up to everything so now it should be pretty damn strong, the weakest part now is the actual block since the original LS1 isnt terribly strong and seems to be good up to 1000hp at the crank before it lets go. The Iron blocks tend to be able to hold quite a bit more power but are about 90ish lbs heavier, I'm fine with keeping the power under 800whp once I've done that to keep things safe.

Im not planning on running much more than 500 rwhp for now since it wont really help being 2wd. I am currently researching grafting the front part of a Chevy S10 AWD frame to the front in order to convert my truck so its putting power to all 4 tires or it will just be burnout machine...
Should be a lot of fun, or at least it better be after all this damn work, haha!

Hope all you guys are having a great new year!

Oh god, I don't think I would do well up there. I have to go in the house when it gets into the mid 40s here since I can't feel my fingers and toes anymore after the sun goes down.

I am definitely not acclimated to cold weather at all.

How is everything else going for you Dave?

The only part I don’t like so much is my fingers crack where I use them the most. Thumbs and index finger. I glue them up but they re-split. Makes it awkward to do fine motor stuff and sometimes even typing is a bit painful but mostly real work that requires more left hand than I’d normally use to avoid exacerbating the skin splits.

Oregon had a free smart thermostat program going at Christmas so I got an ecobee a month ago and just got it working yesterday. I had to run new wire after tapping the transformer for common and only getting 17v with the OG wire. Now I can monitor and receive alerts saying it’s 40 degrees and the thermostat kicked into life support mode. At least I don’t have to worry about the water in the coffee maker freezing anymore and I can fire up the heat on my way there. Might try some moving blankets at the doors to seal off the drafts. Last gas bill was $70 so I’m bracing for impact on the next one.

No way I could work outside in this. You’re way tougher than I am in that regard.
