    Hey all,

99 3rz going through the FSM procedure for this code, it has you run the warm engine at 4000rpm for 3 mins prior to checking resistance of the EGR temp sensor with the VSV electrical connector removed. (DI-91, step 10, if I recall correctly) Sounds great.

Running at 4K, sensor resistance showing 90 kilo-ohms for the first 2 mins. Slowly decreasing. Spec is only 4.2kilo-ohms.

Then suddenly the truck won’t rev over 3200rpm. So I can’t quite get a clean read as per the manual. I’m inclined to replace the EGR temp sensor because of the high resistance value, but damn I don’t want to spend $190 without a good test as per the procedure.

    any thoughts from the gallery?
