What does the collective think about automatic car washes (with undercarriage spray) with a truck that has been fluid filmed? My worry is the spray will just wash it all off eventually, but I also want to keep it clean. Any advice?

I was told not to have the undercarriage sprayed after FF applied. I will just have to get the basic done or spray down myself. Worth it in my book, a little cold/wet maybe and my frame may last as long as the rest of the truck.

Yeah I don’t want to wash all my hard work away. Spraying that stuff in the garage wasn’t fun.

I also don't like that some of the car washes will reuse filtered / cleaned water, but it may still contain some salt from previously washed vehicles. If you're in an area that covers the roads I wouldn't do the under side at all during winter, even at a self-wash.

I don't intend to use a bottom blaster wash, having the Krown spray put on in November. I'd rather have salt on their undercoating, than to start to remove the undercoating. My theory is- I can't wash it non stop, like they salt the roads non stop.

Over thinking this, undercarriage blast is usually water only, not soaped or chemical added. Ever try to power wash a floor with oil, grease, fluid film, woolwax, or the like, with just water and the pressure washer? It is not completely coming off, without a lot of power, elbow grease, and a grease separator type chemical. You are moving down the line in the cash wash, it doesnt have enough time, pressure, or distance to wash 100% of your preferred corrosion protection off, in a few washes a winter. High wear/rinse areas will need more attention for sure but, it isnt going to just disappear with a few washes, over the few months we have snow, salt crap on the roads. Ski
