I've been having the issue where my 10amp IG1 no 2 fuse has been blowing. But only sometimes. It happened to me last winter and I replace the fuse and then it was ok. This winter it happened again a couple of times but then adjusting the heater setting it would stop blowing. After about $20 in fuses today I have found out it only goes when i set the temperature to 25°c. It sounds crazy but every other setting I changed made no difference but when I went back to 25° it blew the fuse??? I can set the temp higher and and lower and it's ok but not on 25. I'm confused

    Thanks :)

If it's just one specific temperature, it sounds like the climate control unit is bad. Not sure how you would test it, you will probably have to find someone in the Toyota know, to get a procedure to test. Not sure how much used units go for, maybe look and see if it's cheap enough to swap out.

I’d replace the fuse and not set it at that temp any more rather than fuss with a dealer and an expensive climate unit.

That's very interesting, the only thing that fuse feeds directly that has anything to do with the HVAC system is the A/C compressor (through the MG CLT Relay), the HTR Relay (Control side only), and the A/C Amplifier.

Only thing I could see is maybe the compressor clutch is shorted and blowing it but not sure why it would only kick on when the system is set to a specific temperature.

Worth a shot to pull the MG CLT Relay and see if it still blows though.
