Ohhhh.... it already is. I might have made a tactical error with that one. The wood is okay. Aluminum would be fine, weight wise. I really like the wood look, and it is warmer to sleep on than metal

When I was working with Alcan for my rear springs we finally decided on 1200 lbs over factory. Thing rides great even empty (but I am at 5800 lbs empty) Tows like a dream and even with my trailer on doesn't squat!

Killing me here, while I stare at these aal's.
Think I'll wait until spring. One less winter with salt exposure will do them good.
Need to wire brush the stock leaves. I won't put new aal's under some crusty used ones. Need to clean them up, at least.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
I have to say this is damn sexy. And a bunch more storage than I thought. One of the things I have noticed about the Aussie flat trays and canopies (tradies) is they generally favor organization and ease of access over cubic volume. Unless you get one with a drawer there seems to be a bunch of wasted space down low.

That said, I still feel the manufacturers of trucks in general aren't taking advantage of potential space available. There is a ton of air under the sides of the standard bed (tub in Aussie speak)

Pat, the truck is looking real nice. Glad to see your dream come true.
    I have just one question.

Where do you keep the bacon and coffee?

When you go look at campers make sure you stand in the wet bathroom with the door closed & simulate showering, then check the size of the water holding tank.

Go home & see how much you can do with that much water.

I got a REALLY nice Pelican cooler for Christmas... You know. The PELICAN. That will live in the back seat area as the cooler always has. Bacon. Coffee has its own box and honored place in the back seat.

Don't worry. When I was a wee lass like yourself I didn't drink coffee either. Then I got a job. Herding cats. Ohhhh, I mean teaching adolescents...

A neighbor has a Scamp. It looks cool and stuff but when I asked him about using the shower, he said he tried it once… lol

Are you thinking new or used? Just looking and there are a plethora of both those campers listed on RVTrader.
