You really have to see it in person. It has that new and old school vibe to it.

Yes, the inspiration did come from the all mighty steelie! It's only 22 lbs for the 17x8.5 size so that's like half the weight of a steelie.

My Mini 2 came with a long and a short power cable.
Basically the Dongar adaptor just provides a USB power outlet; it splits the cable that comes from under the headliner to the mirror into one arm that goes to the mirror and one for the USB.
I plugged the short cable into the USB on the Dongar adaptor and into the Mini 2. It's worked perfectly for 18 months.
Just pay attention to the specs on the memory card: you need one that writes fast. Don't go cheap on that.

My dashcam needs a 45 mb/s card to even turn on. I run a 90 mb/s card just because.

It works. I have the Garmin Mini2 and Dongar, and it works great. Nothing else needed except sd card.

So last week I picked up a new '23 TRD Sport AC 6MT. I love it and I'm very happy to be back in a Taco. I've been wondering why, in stock trim, the front end looked odd and less Taco'ish. After some research here, I took off the front air dam and BOOM! That fixed it, much better.

The mini 2 comes with the short and a long cable. You'll use the short one with the dongar adapter. I've heard you should use a Class 10 memory card for video.
I got this memory card when it was on sale a few week back when the 128GB was on sale for $10.
