Hey everyone. Im not really a new member but it has been about 12 years since I have been on the forum. I dont have facebook any more and the XRU forum has been dead for years. I still go to Xfest every year but need some more taco interaction!
I still have my 2011 X-Runner that I bought new. It has been through a decent amount of changes over the years so ill post a few pics from the past couple years.
Also, about 2.5 years ago now I picked up a 2006 X-Runner from the original owner. Since then, that truck has been my daily (the black truck has always been a garage queen). I got it with high mileage and it was bone stock and needed some love. Since then I have done a fair amount of work but nothing crazy. Just some basic mods, cleaning stuff up, and updating/improving things. It now has over 241k and runs flawlessly.
Hope everyone here is doing well!

thanks! I feel like 10 years ago they were a lot more common but not any more. I guess most of them died out or they faded to pink and the owners painted them a different color lol

Sick trucks, Justin! Do you have a build list on your black one? Very curious about the performance upgrades you've made and what hp/torque she's laying down. Do you track it at all?

Thanks man! I dont really have an accurate build list because the truck has changed a lot over the years lol as far as performance upgrades, heres the basic list as it sits ; URD intake, 76mm throttle body, TRD supercharger, URD 2.825" stealth pulley, URD maf cal, URD spec U exhaust (headers back), spec stage 2+ clutch, URD lightweight flywheel, URD TOB upgrade, NM short shifter, URD o2 simulator, AEM wideband and boost gauge.
I havnt had the truck dynoed since it was NA but my buddy who has a very similar set up on his (same besides exhaust) was dynoed at 365whp and 380tq. So it is probably around there
I have tracked it a few times at past Xrunner events and its a blast!

Dude that is so awesome! Getting those numbers out of that engine is SOLID. You ever consider turboing it? I feel like I haven't seen hardly anyone turboing the tacoma motors.

Very cool that you've tracked it too. I feel like that truck would be great on the track :)

Never thought of turboing it. When I decided to boost it, I wanted something that was reliable kept good driveability and was also easy to install and the TRD/magnuson set up is it. It drives like a stock truck. Iv had a friend turbo his years ago and it was a bit of a mess. No one makes a turbo kit so everything had to be custom. Then he had issues with tuning it and eventually it blew up because it made too much power.
Iv had several turbo cars and I love the roots supercharger so much more because the simplicity and ease of maintenance. No dealing with boost leaks, oil/coolant leaks etc. Plus its a more compact and clean set up.
I also didnt want to deal with issues with tuning. The truck is still on the factory toyota reflash. AFR is good and the truck runs great.
I would love to find someone to do an actual tune on it with an HP tuners set up because im sure theirs more power in it. But I cant find anyone to do it

Just a couple updated pics from recently. Not much has changed on either truck besides cleaning up some stuff here and there. But mostly just driving the trucks and enjoying them. I did install a URD fuel pump upgrade kit in the red truck recently.
Stuff that im looking to do in the future as soon as the weather cools off... Might build a custom Satoshi grill for the red truck and also want to pull the valve covers on it and do them in a wrinkle red.
But here are some pics from the past couple months

The red truck got a URD fuel pump upgrade last week. Today it got a rare bit of engine bay love. I usually dont worry about how clean the engine bay is in this truck because it never gets shown off. But I painted the valve covers in wrinkle red and changed the gaskets. Every bolt that was removed got wire wheeled and painted black
