My 4x4 stopped working the other day because the ADD wouldn’t engage. Didn’t feel like dealing with possible electrical problems so I just used a hose clamp to lock the actuator into the engaged position so that the front diff is always connected to the front axles. I think I saw write up about this on 4x4wire awhile back but it isn’t active anymore. Do you guys think this will take a lot of gas mileage off? Or put a lot of wear on the front diff?

Just a little more rolling resistance, lots of trucks dont use ADD's, including its 4runner and FJ siblings, they are locked and ready all the time.

Does it not produce an error when its locked on all the time?
