i like the red stripe down the middle!

i feel like the center opening needs to be reduced in size somehow. right now it looks closer to a grab handle than a tie-off point.

I'll mess with the opening to see how it looks. Reducing the opening height could let it "lay back" a little more which may match the headlight better.

Redesigned the openings and printed a few sets in carbon fiber PETG.

The set on my truck use light pipes like fiber optic sights. Initially done in green it looks like a bubble level on the hood, orange is much better. As for now however my final design does not use the light pipes.

Is 3M double sided tape rated to hold a canoe on the roof at 70mph?

Not sure if you are serious?

As said in the title and the first post these are in no way to be used as tie downs.

    so...where's the limb risers
on these limb riser attachment points

and why are they plastic taped onto the hood
rather than probably metal and strong enough to hold a limb riser
like the Bronco one these are trying to look like

I like how the one you linked to needs an additional riser for the snorkel intake thing. Lol.

    1. they have a purpose
    2. I, like everyone else who put them, actually put them. They’re raptor lights. Not pretend. They turn on.

I have those. Gonna experiment with cable length and mounting locations. I put the top bracket at the middle of my rack per their instructions but it could shield better if I move it to the highest point.

that being said, the snorkel sticking out is just due to the shape of the truck, rack, and snorkel.

    I’m not worried about it.
Branches hitting glass and snagging is a concern. Sliding off a round plastic snorkel is not.

snorkels can be tough. Buddy’s truck got crashed into, possibly totaled. Truck itself got messed up. But his snorkel was fine. It may have even rolled.
