2022 Tacoma SR, not much talk out there after googling with other 3rd-gens with stock steelies (+30 offset).

From my understanding, all sizes I listed fit completely stock with no rubbing, correct me if I'm wrong...?

Looking to replace my 245/75/16 stock SR tires. I want something more aggressive-looking, and something with a bit more off-road capability, so I'm set on an A/T tire, probably not a M/T since I will use them in the snow.

My biggest concern is the gearing. I have a 2.7L with the AUTO transmission, I think it's a 6-speed auto? Not sure what the stock gearing is, someone can comment?

Someone else said 255/85/16 would be too much for the truck. Is this true? Should I go with stock size or would 265/75/16 be okay? I don't mind the narrower tire either since it'll perform a bit better in snow, but not look as cool.

    Thanks for the advice.

I run a 265 75 16’s on a stock Tacoma SR5, my stocks tires were 245. Drive lots in the snow, run Faulkin wild peak ar3/w’s. I dig them. Much better on snow and ice than the stock tires that came w the Tacoma. Much better. Had maybe a loss of 0.5 mpg with the wild peaks.

Normally I'd say 265/75/16, but not sure with the 4 cyl. That tire is only about 1" taller than stock and 1" wider. The loss of power with the 6 cyl engine is minimal, but you might notice it with your truck.

I'll suggest 265/70/16. That is an optional factory size on some trucks. It is the same height as 245/75/16's but about 1" wider. It doesn't change the power, but the width makes it look a little more aggressive.
