Took a long time and it’s not perfect but looks a heck of a lot better than any cheap cover would. I’m happy with it, feels a lot better than the stock material.

I just bought my 2017 with 33K miles on it. My shift knob looked shockingly similar to your steering wheel. I'm surprised the interior pieces are wearing out this quickly... Luckily, i worked into my deal to have the dealer install a brand new knob for me. but wondering how long till it looks like the first one.

Maybe the previous owners of our vehicles just had sandpaper hands. But wow, the shift knob? Sad that the material quality is so bad in trucks that are only 3 or less years old. If it’s any consolation, my shift knob still looks good

    Interior, mud flaps, tail gate,
Hand sanitizer or anything that has an alcohol base will really damage leather. My dad had a textured leather steering wheel like on our Tacomas. He used to handle the wheel immediately after using hand sanitizer. Destroyed the leather within a couple years.

My fiances steering wheel in her 2013 Accord was looking like this. I used a good leather cleaner first then several coats of leather conditioner/ protectant. It looks brand new again. All that shine is dirt, oils, sweat, etc. Hers has that matte look back. I started protecting mine in the Taco this year.

Just picked up my new Tacoma a few months back and wondering how best to look after the steering wheel. I am assuming the fabric is real leather and not leatherette/vegan leather?
I've been cleaning lightly every month with Gyeon interior detailer. Contains 60% alcohol and instructions/reviews claim this is safe for leather. or perhaps I should just be using a proper leather cleaner?
