Apple CarPlay

Hey All!
I’m sure this is buried somewhere, but question on CarPlay. I’m connected by Bluetooth and I plugged my iPhone in with a usb cord to a port and went to Apple Maps widget and nothing came up on my screen(no big deal really) but there was no sound for my directions. No audio from phone or truck speakers. This also happens audio wise when watching videos on iPhone. No audio admits anywhere. Any ideas?

Which input are you plugging into? The one under HVAC or the one in the center console?

Does it happen every time you drive the truck?

My Apple CarPlay occasionally won’t connect properly or at all and I have to turn the ignition off then on again. It only happens maybe once every month or 2 though.

 

CarPlay on my ‘23 only works on the usb port on dash. Does not work using usb port in center console

 

Connect to the usb port on the dashboard for apple carplay. The usb in the armrest is not for carplay.

 

wrong plug that is power only. you need to use the jack under the HVAC controls

 

I will give that a shot! Thanks all. This is my first vehicle with this feature. New to Toyota as whole.
