Just had my first big rain since picking up my Century Hi-C and noticed a ton of water pouring in at the door/tailgate area. Seems the design of the camper leaves a massive highway for water to travel in on the bedrail thus soaking the carpet and eventually dripping down into the bed. My snugtop on my 2005 is designed with the fiberglass on the rail to curve/finish over the bedrail at the tailgate to allow the bulbseal to prevent any water from intrusion. The snugtop also came with a rubber skirt at the bulkhead to prevent any water intrusion there too. Kudos for snugtop being competent in R&D. Leer/Century are lacking in that department in my opinion.
Either way I saw on another thread a fellow leer/century owner gooping silicone thus creating a dam which he said worked and I'm sure it would. However I wanted to go a different route that would not only block off water but also dust. I cut/fabricated rubber and glued in with e6000. I will post update after next big rain.Century 1.jpg Century 3.jpg

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Interesting. My Leer 180 doesn't leak water and only gets a little dust inside on the very dustiest of trails. Most of my dust intrusion is around the tailgate, not the cap.
