Cross posting from the 2nd gen forum since it’s not getting any traction there:

2006 TRDOR DCSB, I installed new TPMS sensors with new tires last year (spring 2023). Sensors from TPMS direct in all 5 tires. Everything worked great, no lights on, until 1/14/24.

1/14/24 I was driving after a snowstorm on heavily covered roads for 45 minutes. About 10 minutes before I arrived at my destination (ski resort) the TPMS light started blinking. Went skiing, came back to truck, when I started my drive back home the TPMS light went off almost immediately.

The following weekend 1/19/24 drove the same route and again the light started blinking. However this time the light didn’t go off when I drove back home. I used my reader before driving home and saw two sensors offline.

Today 1/20/24 I filled up all tires and checked using my reader and all tires sensors are online and reading correct pressure…but the light is still blinking.

The only thing that has changed in the past week is the temperatures have been really cold high 20s low single digits.

What is going on and what do I need to do to stop the blinking? I’d take a solid light at this point.

I'm not in the taco at the moment but in the manual is there something about blinking lights for the tpms?

yeah, blinking is malfunction. When I hook up my scanner I can see all five tires PSIs so I know the sensors are working and sending information to the computer. Just not sure why the computer is thinking there’s a malfunction.

    Might try unhooking the battery?

You need to see what code(s) are in the TPMS to see what it's unhappy about.

Im guessing my AutoZone OB2 reader isn’t gonna cut it for that. Well, I guess I’ll get it looked at when I get my exhaust fixed unless someone tells me a quick fix.

The codes can be flashed out on the light by jumpering 2 pins at the DLC but I'm not at my PC right now to post the procedure.

Have you checked the codes in the TPMS?
