    Me too!!! :D:anonymous:

I hear this all the time and I get it. I understand what's being differentiated, but at the same time, I think the word respect is still true here. Manners are a behavioral result of respect which generally is taught by parents to their children at a young age...or it was. And respect seems to have different kinds. Admiration and approval being the one you're describing. There are other kinds and perhaps there are better words for them, but respect for an office or authority even if you don't like there person managing it. Respect for people or things that require more gentle treatment or care. Respect for intrinsic value (like human life). The fearful kind, like I don't wanna chop my arm off with this saw that is quite capable. I'm just saying there's nuance here so the splitting of vocabulary hairs seems unnecessary.

The deterioration of culture affects both men and women and how they view and treat one another. It's a sad plight. What's worse is there are good fellas and ladies who are stuck in that statistic for various reasons by no fault of their own. :(

I won't go further down this rabbit hole, but I could.

I'll return to the mothership now. :alien:
