    The steering wheel does not extend far enough. So you end up reaching for it. It was my biggest complaint.

    I'm 6,2 I put front seat jackers in mine and that made the difference for me but I like the front of the seat to be higher than the back.

    My dad hates it when I move his seats because I always raise the front all the way up and he likes them level but he's almost as tall as me so everyone has their preferred seating position.

    All i can say is unbolt either the front or rear of the seat, put something under it to raise it up, and see how it feels (obviously I wouldn't reccomend driving it with the seat unbolted), once you figure out how you like it get the correct spacers to mount it like that.
    The rears can be shimmed up with washers or spacers and a longer bolt if needed but the fronts require a custom mount like seat jackers to raise them up.

    @Bishop84 don't later 3rd gens have a 6 way power seat?

    Depends on your body build. Some guys are 6'3" and have no complaints and others are 5'8" and complain a lot. You just have to see for yourself.

    What you're used to is a factor too. If you're used to driving an F150, it's going to feel different.

    the 6 way was 2020 and it still didn’t help those of us who sit far away.

    The 3rd gen really suffered with ergonomics for some reason. I’m 6 3 on a good day so nothing crazy.

    Honestly it’s junk
    It’s just not made for tall people other than the fact that there is headroom
    Sit on the floor and steering wheel just doesn’t adjust far enough to you or up enough

    3rd gen seems worse to me, although I thought they were the same

    Ford maverick has awesome seating for tall people, it’s what every small truck should be like

    This was probably my biggest concern going into the taco. I was worried about long distance (like 10 hour plus) drives. My '22 has the electronic height adjustment which was good, but I also got seat jackers which just helped fine tune it for my longer legs. (6'2", 185lbs)
    I also don't have the greatest back and have had serious problems with certain seats, especially if they don't have lumbar. I still find my Jeep's seat position better for long distance driving, but the taco is 10x more comfortable overall. I have had no issues with my current Taco seat positioning and I have put in 18 hour driving days with no back/leg pain. So in my world, the small things get a pass if I can actually sit in a vehicles seats that long. As others have noted, the steering wheel not telescoping enough was initially annoying but wasn't a deal breaker and doesn't bother me now.
    That said, the sun roof optioned Taco's are 100% a no-go for me though.

    I had a 2007 Nissan Nismo Frontier for 4 years. Back then seating position, price negotiation was the major reasons for going Nissan at the time vs the Taco in that generation.

    Best thing you can do is see if a dealership will let you borrow one or take one for a weekend or something to see. Do your normal daily commute, run errands ect. See if it works for you.
