My build date was 1/15...

My dealer says they don't have any updates and they think my build was delayed due to... weather?

Hoping to hear some actual news on my truck soon! Anyone else have a build date that already passed and no updates?

Oh well, it gives me more time to sell my low mile 2nd gen anyways....

 

You check the allocation spreadsheet? You have a permanent VIN yet?

 

Thanks I was not aware of the spreadsheet but I found it. My VIN doesn't come up when I search, so perhaps it isn't a permanent VIN? The VIN I have is on the PDF my dealer sent me. How and when are they assigned a permanent VIN?

 

Look at the last 6 numbers....should not have any letters. It will have letters if it is a temp VIN. One it goes in the the build phase then it will get the permanent VIN. Also check the sold tab. A lot of dealers are marking 2024 models sold even though they have not even been built yet.

 

Mine is 51A247. Darn it.

What engine does it have in it?

 

Looks like that truck isn’t on their website anymore. The two numbers before the letter are the build week, 51 suggests it was scheduled to start being built the 2nd to last week of 2023. A lot of those early build allocations appear to have been pulled from dealers for some reason.

I'm guessing it's because the dealer marked it sold? Thanks for the tip on the build week, I did not know that either.

 

Was that the build date when you put a deposit on it or the dealer confirmed it was actually built. My dealer told me the 15th two months ago and it was just built two days ago.

 

That was the date my salesman gave me when I texted him earlier this week.
