Looks like the amount if under 1 liter or 1 quart. I see the transfer case should use Ravenol .

Hey guys now that I'm going to order some Ravenol which one is right??

What is the proper type of Ravenol for my 2016 Toyota transfer case?

I see J1C1003 SAE 75W GEAR oil MTF-3 Full syn,

    DGL full syn,

    and DTF-1 full syn.

Which one is right for my truck ? I don't tow or off road.

The transfer case is very forgiving but the spec is for a 75w gear oil. Nothing after the 75w. So the first option.

Presently I have syncromesh in mine because amsoil sold it and again the transfer case is very forgiving.

In Texas you could run 75w-90 even in it but if you venture to places cold I wouldn't go much thicker than a syncromesh type fluid or you may have issues shifting the transfer case cold

I see it now, MTF -3 is for transfer case.

It was not clear even on the Ravenol page about DGL and DTF.

Very simple maintenance on my Tacoma and now the wife wants me to do her 4 Runner!

How did I get myself into this?

Did both Diffs and it was easy, rigged myself a long clear hose to the funnel, let her pour the fluid it. A lot easier than the hand pump with the quart bottles.
