well... what are we thinking? now i know many of these all depend on total number of people who actually buy and how many units are actually made. and sizing. but yeah id be interested as have a few times needed to pull someone or something free recently.

okay, so the 20 ft, and the 7/8th id assume? or are we thinking something else? I mean the price point isn't to much different between 20, and 30 ft. at this point im down to party.

I would the 7/8" ropes. I'll get into details once the interest is there.

Same as the others, I may be interested depending on final details.

FYI - 7/8" x 30ft red rope is on sale at Dirt Lifestyle's web store for $179.99 right now (15% off). If you can get a better deal than that, all the better!

Interested, if it's a 7/8ths rope at 30 feet. 20 feet seems a bit short.

Sorry to all that were interested and potentially interested. But this GB is not going to happen due to the posts above.

I don't really care for people posting links to other sites on my group buys. It kind of derails what I'm trying to put together for the members on the forum. It's just a shitty thing to do to someone.

Why, were you looking to make a margin from the deal or something?

I'm not seeing how others posting the prices they found was rude. Not unless you presented yourself as the seller, which you didn't.

I only shared the price from the other site as it seems like the effort you would put forth wouldn't beat the other prices available across the internet. In past group buys when that has occurred, once users who join the GB caught wind that your deal wasn't really a deal then it would still have caused backlash. No intention to undercut your GB.

Thanks anyways for letting us know you have aborted this effort. I'll steer clear of your future "deals".

Same feeling here, this is odd. It's a weird attitude to take unless I stole the sandwich out of his mouth. Maybe I did? Dunno. Anyone upset please PM me your hatemail for ruining your day lol.

    100% support this.

The entire point of a group buy is to get a volume discount which significantly beats any commonly-available single-purchase discount, sale, etc. available direct from manufacturer or elsewhere on the open internet. (Amazon, ebay, etc.)

If the group-buy price doesn't beat the lowest-available public price by at least 10-15% I don't really see the point of the added risk & complexity of participating in one.

Not my choice man. The vendor that I was going to be hosting this for asked me to close it for the stated reason above.

Not entirely correct! The point of a GB is to generate enough potential interest in a product to help convince a vendor that cutting their margin is worth it. The idea around a GB is NOT to beat an existing sale on Amazon by an addition 10-15%. The ONLY chance of a discount like that is going to come directly from the manufacturer of the product since they have the largest margin to work with.

I'm sorry to here this. Mike has done several group buys for TW members and all the ones I participated in worked out great. I would say he knows what he's doing.
