I mean he was nice enough. He had trouble searching for the part but when he found it, he gave me the price. I wanted the part number so in the future, i could simply provide it and not go through the providing vin and searching process... but that's when he stopped being helpful and pointed the finger at management

FWIIW - The dealership in Montrose was cheaper and gave me part number with no issue.

Also want to point out that sometimes Stevinson's Toyota in Golden has much better pricing online and there is an option to pick up.

They will not honor their online pricing unless ordered online. I walked in with it on my phone but they wouldn't budget on price.

This! I would always order online and there seemed to be a discount, then just pick up in person. So easy.

Looking for a good alignment shop on the western slope that can handle SPC uppers. I need some serious adjustments before new tires.

I’m pretty sure that’s what I had over the holidays, which made the holidays non-existent for me.

EV Beater commuter update… I have spent less than $40 in charging since July. That’s less than half a tank of premium in the Tacoma.IMG_2548.jpg

that's what happens when you get old :luvya:

the headlights problem is real though. god forbid you make the mistake of flash your high beams at them because you thought they had their high beams on. usually they just flash theirs and really drive the point home. had a BMW evaporate my face with that lol

I gave the bird to a Tundra bro a few months back because of his headlights. He flew up to me at the next light and said WHY'D YOU FLIP ME OFF? Told him because his headlights are pointed right in my mirror. He replied F*** YOU I DON'T EVEN HAVE MY BRIGHTS ON. I said no shit, your lights are pointed right at my rearview mirror, you don't need them on. Guy proceeded to speed away lol.

Again. I'm cranky today. I also don't shy from the opportunity to throw the finger. But please people, get your lights adjusted is all I'm asking. Or go learn from University of YouTube and just do it yourself. It slows our progress towards Idiocracy, even if just a little.

I've done my best to align my own lights, and erred toward aiming them too low rather than too high. After struggling with that and reading Daniel Stern's writeup (https://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html) I think it's a job I'd happily pay to have a pro with experience and a well-equipped facility do properly.

Does anybody know of such a pro with such a facility?

I'm confused, were you going to buy the part from him or not? If you bought it you'd have the part number on your receipt and probably on the package as well.

Keep an eye on the final total at checkout. The dealer here in Colorado Springs (Larry H Miller) charges a handling fee for online orders picked up in-store. For smaller parts it can still be worthwhile to buy at the counter.

I just parked in a parking garage on a flat spot and measured 25’ from the wall and adjusted my lights according to the FSM.

FSM gave an adjustment procedure? Or just described how the adjustment screws work?

I only see the latter in my '98 FSM.

Like I said, I've made an effort on my own but I think a pro could do better.
