TGIF...and t's the last Friday of Jan 2024--unbelievable how this month has flown by.

 

I bought mine from simpletire.com - they offer 5% mil discount. Not a lot but on the price of four tires it's a nice price break.

And 255/85/16 for the win, brother Do it! you know you want to.

 

oh - for the record? my OME stuff - came with my truck so it must be at least 5-6 years old - has performed flawlessly. Good enough IS good enough. To put a dollar value on things, i wonder if we can get $2000-worth of performance (however that's measured) by buying 'the best'. If 'The best' suspension is only tested/used to the same level as a 'good enough' suspension, there is wasted capability just for the sake of having 'the best'

I did see that - but my support of the tire size comes with use on and off road. If I could fit 35x11.5 I'd do it, though.

 

Surprisingly, the skinny tire had better contact patch.

Since I'll be street driving 99% of the time, I'm leaning towards a wider tire.

That, plus I have those Bushwacker Fendys that stick out a lil it, and are yearning for a tire with some pokey!

I'm considering going with the TRD Lift which means, the biggest tire I'd go with is 285/70R17s...or somewhere thereabouts.

Was pulling for Ravens but too much emotion got the best of them.

On the other hand, Niners kept their poise through adversity and advanced.

Ravens could have won till almost the end of the game… they were just not playing like the ravens on offense. Lamar had a tough time finding open receivers or was focused too much on one person. Didn’t even hear Bechams name till the end of the 3rd or sometime in the 4th.

 

For those that remember or forgot, here’s an update about the Safari at the Quarry off road park in Delmar-

from their FB post-
We have been busy working on the site. Building the website, and locking down details with are host location Kylan Barn only 5 minutes away from the Safari at the Quarry location. To respect the neighborhood adjacent to the property. All vendors, show & shine, music, and food and beverage will be at Kylan Barn.
It’s for safety of the participants, and the general public, and traffic concerns. That will have the Safari at the Quarry, separated from the Vendor & Entertainment hub at Kylan Barn
We will have all wheeling activities at the Quarry location. There will be 2 shifts daily Sat May 4th & Sun May 5th. Welcome party Fri May 3rd at Kylan Barn. We will posting more details as they get locked down. Hopefully we will have the website up by the 1st week of February. Registration model should be available shortly after that.
The Quarry venue is located off Connelly Mill Rd in Delmar.
We are so excited to bring this 2 year project closer to its launch and opening.

 

not sure how i never heard of them! super excited for them to open. especially considering there’s nothing down that way, or in the whole peninsula

 

I’m 2.5 hours from both there and AOAA…
