How hard up for the money are you? And are you willing to hold onto the parts you would take off for as long as necessary to sell them?

Personally I'd just sell it all together for minimal hassle. I'm still trying to sell some dirtbike gear a buddy gave me that doesn't fit, 8 months later. Basically just taking up room until I find someone who can actually follow through. Had I known it'd be this hard to sell, I probably would have told him to keep them lol.

A lot of those are also fairly invasive mods for people who aren't mechanically inclined or aren't building it for a specific purpose, so your market for resale would be fairly small I think.

Like @50Buck said, time cost vs resale profit, depends if the extra few hundred -$1k is worth them taking up your time and space to remove and also sell.

Yeah, I'll usually make it my first destination point on my weekend rides, but haven't been since it's been "cold". After C&C, I take PCH to Huntington for tacos/car + bike spotting/booty patrol.

Wow we gotta get a ride in sometime. It's usually stop #1 then i ride back down to SD and hit Palomar or Julian. i've still been going despite the "cold". Just have to layer up a bit.

Now you have me wondering if we've run across each other without realizing lol.

My registration for the truck was almost $700 a year when I lived in Seattle. Moved just outside King county and it dropped to like $120. I'll find out how cheap the bike is on Monday,. Due to a ridiculous process I had to have state patrol inspect it, which takes FOREVER, but finally managed to get it done this morning.

Do they have moto inspections in WA? That's one more benefit to CA luckily, no state inspections for bikes. Cars only really get inspected for smog.

I have a buddy who lives in CO, and he pays something like $1500 for his registration on a 2020 Ram 1500. Wild

Oh yeah, its for sure going up for sale as is in the first place cus thats the easy route for sure. But if it sits for a while I might go and revert to stock as we all know aftermarket modded things tend to be harder to sell.... tho grom people are WEIRD.

No, it was for something else, I bought my bike cheap with a lost title, they needed to make sure vin #s match. I'm golden now though.

Washington doesn't have an income tax, so they tax us on everything else. Alcohol is like 30%, sugar tax, plastic bag fee, plastic straw fee, etc

@Hafaday @oldtoyman and others stuck inside.

(warning, a bit of bragging of weather and scenery to make up for ca things lol)

68 Degrees out at 5pm Went 8-10min up the road from me after work today to get out on a ride and grab a few things from the market on my way home. Was a rather offshore windy day (not super common) which tends to lead to very dusty and hazy conditions. Luckily it had rained not long ago so dust was kept to a min.

It always been CRAZY to me how close the islands can look when conditions are right... normally they are not visible even from the beach itself as they are in a fog haze, but during the winter time we get lots of clear crisp dry air the later of which was further perpetuated by the offshore winds from the desert (santa ana winds we call em - super dry).

This is at a 0.5x wide view lens. Left island is Anacapa right is Santa Cruz (2 more islands are hidden behind santa cruz). Taken at ~ 940ft above sea level. Home is ~4mi away at 200ft. From this point its ~16mi as the crow flies to the ocean, then another 12mi - left most of left island, to 40mi right most of right island).

    2x
    20240126_170845.jpg

Bit more of a panorama. Crazy thing here is from this vantage point you can see off on the left close conejo peak at 1800ish ft that the 101 runs up and over and further in the distance left Sandstone Peak 9.5mi away that is 3114ft above sealevel and at its peak is only 4.8mi away from the ocean, and far off to the right 30mi away Reyes peak @ 7514ft and 21mi to its closest ocean. Needless to say the toplogy of the area is pretty epic and why moto riding in and around the area is pretty epic!

Watched till the sky turned the islands on fire!

50 today, maybe 60 tomorrow. :bananadance:
Both bikes will be getting a 90 day bath to remove the half inch of dust.
Hoping to ride both, if only for a few miles, to stir up the oil and get some fresher old gas in the system.
Actual riding season is only a few months away...
