Are lone peaks tennis shoes? I'm looking to get a new set of tennis shoes this year. I was looking at some super comfy NB's at FleetFarm a few weeks ago but didn't pull the trigger yet. Maybe I'll check those lone peaks out.

Depends on what you mean by tennis shoes... Altra are more along the lines of running shoes and hiking shoes. I like trail running shoes for everyday and the Lone Peaks are their trail runners.

Those look similar to what I'm looking for. I like running/tennis shoes because they're usually light and comfortable. I chose the ones I have now because they have a kind of "all terrain " looking tread pattern, which seemed appropriate for the stuff I do.

That's how I plan to roll when my latest set of New balances wear out. Maybe not that brand specifically, but definitely towards the trail runner type shoe.

Anyone in here wear boots when driving clutch? Does it drive you up the wall? Or is it just me?

Based on what I'm seeing described as a trail runner, that's probably what my current NB tennis shoes are. I didn't realize there were so many categories of tennis shoes.

Either way, I'll probably just get a newer version of them if I don't find anything else that's more appealing.

Blundstones exclusively on a day to day basis for me. Don’t bother me a bit driving the 5 speed in the first gen or the 10 speed in the big big truck for work.

I’m fussy about shoes. Different activities warrant a variety of shoes to me.

-Blundstones for day to day and work year round.
-Merrill high tops for hiking in the wet
-Lems low tops for hiking in the dry/summer
    -Nike’s for running
    -Babolat jet’s for pickleball
-Simpson high tops for racing (driving)

Pretty sure that the shoe that's appropriate for the stuff you do is flip flops. :D

I've tried driving clutch in flip flops. Do not recommend

The Salomon has a memory foam toe and upper. Feels funny at 1st until they break in but after that they fit like a glove.
Good tread on the bottom and I like the harder rubber toe when walking around on concrete and diamond plate most of the day.
Good all arounder....unless your feet sweat a lot. Not real breathable.

I, too, remember the good old days when this was an Events discussion page and not a Rogan's Shoes.

True. The whole idea of having two threads was to keep the BS in the other thread and leave this one to discuss outings.

I've been as guilty as anyone of going off topic. We'll have to try better to keep the off-topic stuff to a minimum in here.
