I think it's kinda funny how many/most auto enthusiasts dismiss Nokian because they assume it's just another Sailun-type chinesium tire.

I've been driving at least 8 different Nokian models over the past twenty years. Some dedicated for winter, some year round, and never been disappointed with a single set.

We currently have two sets of Outpost ATs and one set of Rotiiva AT, which are the previous model. The Outpost is not only a great value but it's also a great all weather tire. Nobody is going to confuse it for a Hakka, but it's super solid for general purposes.

The Finns know how to do winter driving.

Just weighing in on A/T tires for winter. I am in upstate NY where we haven’t seen real winter for a few years. I am running Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX E rated “Pizza Cutters” (255/85/16) on my 21 Pro. Just got hit with a snow squall where snow melted on contact and froze - pretty slick. There were many folk in trucks sliding siddways*, the Coops took me through in fine fashion. *cant rule out operator error . Overall very happy with the Coops: good performance in rain, snow and slop. A little noisy on dry pavement . My MPG took a hit. BUT, when I go to the market, the ladies melt when they see my truck :bananadance:

Nokians are difficult to purchase and replace, they wear awful and typically after 3 years are worthless.

I have no idea why people put them up on a pedestal. I'd sooner have 10 brands before a nokian, especially their all terrains.

Out of 30 techs at my shop, one runs Nokian because he got a deal. No one else. We are canadian as a reference as well.

General Grabber ATX have been the best for me here in Wisconsin. Have previously run Duratracs and KO2's and the Grabbers are far superior to both in my experience.

I do a lot of snowboarding and run the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires - I love them. They're Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rated.

I got bold in a snowstorm and they got me up the mountain just fine with 4x4 and no chains. Other people were spinning their tires, stuck, and/or slid off the road.

They've been so good to me that I'm reluctant to try anything else now once they wear out.

lol. Umm ok. My twenty plus years of experience with the brand doesn't align with your experience. WRGs, Hakkas, Rotiivas, Outpost. They've all be good to excellent when used for their intended purposes.

I like Cooper Discoverer AT3 and General Grabber ATX, and have performed well in the North East mess. I recently found a deal on lil bro Falken Rubitreks that I couldn't pass up, and have been pleased with their performance so far with the couple of snow storms that hit here.

Saw someone else post similar results, but I can't recommend the Dynapros. My bro-in-law has them on his Ranger and they're meh.

Same tire as the Thunderer Ranger ATR. They look like they'd be pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to run them yet.
