Went to install my OEM tailgate lock from Toyota that was a gift for christmas (ordered with their black friday deals) and had the truck taken apart, ran everything and realized the remote lock piggyback plug was the wrong size and about 6" too short. Hmmm... turns out the dealer shipped a tundra remote lock, part number PK3B6-34JS0 and our order email shows we ordered PK3B6-35JS0 for a tacoma. Hopefully we don't get told to pound sand since it has been a while from when the order was placed. Boo

So you haven't gotten a chance to really test the WeBoost out yet?

The wife and I go on extended camping/overlanding excursions and mostly rely on Google maps now for directions to and from a particular spot.
Many times we are punching in Long & Lat coordinates, and leaving those places a lot of times we just have to generally head in the direction we know we need to go as we have zero signal.
I've been thinking a lot about investing in a
Drive Reach Overland setup.

Is the front raked a bit higher than the rear?

 

Yes I have tested it and it works great. It doesn't give you signal it boosts the signal that is there even if minimal. A dead zone is a dead zone but this makes them far and few between.that post was about my seat jackers and how I mounted the weboost to it to keep it off the floor and out of the elements. The system I installed is the drive reach overland and like I said it's great for my use and I'm happy with the investment.

 

Did some mid winter cleaning to the interior. I find it's easier to clean periodically and helps me check things over at the same time rather than wait until it's nice weather. The floormats and carpets were super dirty from the snow and salt so it was nice to get most of that. These all weather mats grooves are a bear to clean so there was some visible dirt left on those but the carpets and everything else is much better which is always nice to get into. Crazy to think its been 7 years since i brought it home.

 

My thinking is even with no signal in some spots I would be able to more readily get a signal closer to our originating point.
There are also some spots that may look like a complete dead zone, but I just don't have the ability to pick up whatever weak signal may be there.
Seems like a worthwhile investment.

 

That sounds correct to me. Where I live I would drive home and lose signal and now it holds my signal all the way home as well as provides me with minimal service at my house when first starting out whereas before my phone would not pick it up or it would be intermittent. So yes if your starting out with service and using the booster it should get you alot further than without out no doubt. I just didn't want to set you up for disappointment thinking it is a piece of wizardry that supplies service everywhere no matter what. As long as you know what your getting and understand it does have limitations like anything else than I highly recommend it. Make sure to post up some pics when you get it installed. This thread is all about the journey of our builds while helping one another and photos are a big part of that

Looks great! I did the same and am very happy with it. Just prepare to get assaulted by the Yotaverse chrome police on the glove box lock and sideview mirror control. I got the glove box key covered but haven't had much luck getting the sideview mirror knob off. It's supposed to pull straight up and off (I think) but mine seems too tight to keep pulling on. Anyone else have luck removing it?

 

What bakflip brackets did you use? Possible to get some pics of inside or how it looks?

 

Any info on the mount? I'm finishing getting all my parts together to install my 8 gang Auxbeam. Thanks and good luck

 

Any info on those bed stiffeners? Definitely something on my to- do list. Never heard of that brand. Would they interfere with the OEM bed mat? Thanks
