See those lights in the mirror you better run. By the time the transmission decides what gear to shift to and the engine eventually reaches it’s excuse for a powerband you’ll be long gone.

Watch your head sir getting in the back seat... and your knees, and your shoulders... and nevermind, go ahead and sit up front. Here, you drive. Try and get comfortable if you can.

Police around here have a fleet of F250s. They're used for roadside assistance calls, roadkill/debris patrol, and occasionally pulling the horse trailer.

Traffic and enforcement are still very much the domain of the Tahoes, which in their own way are equally as silly as using a Tacoma.

Man that would suck as a police vehicle. Could you imagine how tight the cab would be with all your gear on and laptop and all the other radios. Not to mention having to sit in it for all those hours a day. I love my Tacoma but no way I’d want to sit in it for 10-12 hour shifts multiple days a week.

many departments are stopping pursuits. too many secondary deaths and damage from people otherwise not related to the chase.

Just 2 days ago in PHX, police were pursuing someone who evaded then ran his vehicle into a non-involved civilian, killing the civilian.

I am not faulting the police ... the one evading is at fault. But it is relevant to your statement.

Local police are using a new tool ... a grappler. They shoot a "claw" that attached to a fleeing vehicle and the weight of the police vehicle behind on the cable makes the stopping action safer.

A relatively small percentage of LE are involved in traffic enforcement. They have a handful of cars that are set up for high-speed pursuit, the rest don't need anything special under the hood. Our local Sheriff's deputies don't even carry anything to write you a ticket.

It's probably got seat belt extenders and a place to store boxes of doughnuts.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
That was probably from the automated car wash.
