That is something I haven't gotten around to yet. But I am wondering if there is a way around it also to make it easier.

I recently bought this same unit from crutchfield and had them do the wiring for me. I didn't have to do any bit of wiring or splicing... everything down to the back up camera was plug-n-play. I was preparing to splice the parking brake wiring into the ground and run an inline switch to manipulate the parking brake but didn't have to do that. fwiw this radio requires you to activate the parking brake twice to get into all the settings.

I can't find an answer easily through Google... but does this unit have something similar to Pioneer's network mode that lets you use the front/rear preouts for 2-way active front stage (i.e. mids and tweeters)?

2006 Taco: I also did the iLX-W650 through Crutchfield (may I also say they are as good of a company as it gets, just like TacomaWorld...) and then recently got the (I forget the model, but the only one offered at Crutchfield) tailgate lift handle rearview camera installed and wired up. Everything works good, no issues at all.

What I don't know/understand is what is the purpose of this OBD-2 V3 plug and 2 wire pin supposed to be used for?
