Sorry for the YouTube style headline.

Has anyone ever experienced their fuel line connection/clip/"whatever it's called" pop off when starting up the motor after their truck sat parked for a week (I've been sick)? I put a zip tie around it after reconnecting the thing. It was the connector thing and not the hose that came undone.20240130_174446~2.jpg

[Check the photos to know which connection I'm referring to]

Is this a sign of something bad or just some random warp in the time space continuum?

It's a secondary locking device, the primary is the yellow tabs inside the fuel line.

They tend to sit funny if not installed 100%

They are often only removed during major repairs, but most frequently during EFI services/injector cleanings.

The last time it may have been removed was when I had my engine rebuilt 12000 miles ago.

It's likely fine now, like I said it probably wasnt fully seated and simply popped off. The zip tie will be good insurance.

If so, I'm glad it happened in my driveway and not out on the trail somewhere.
I'm going to keep an eye on it for leaks etc. over the coming days. If anything changes I will add to the OP.

If it wasn't leaking after it popped off, it won't leak now.
    Don't worry about it.
