I have a 2016 tacoma trd off road 4x4 and ever since the first time i took it on a dirt road the truck has squeaked every single like when i go over speed bumps or even normally on the road. i sprayed my suspension bushings in silicon but it did not work. my dad seems to think its the body mounts but i thought it was suspension related.

If anyone has any suggestions anything would be appreciated

btw the only mods i have is a 2 inch front leveling kit and slightly bigger tires everything else is stock

    UPDATE!!!
    i have fixed the squeak
my front sway bar was rubbing on both my front shocks so i removed it and now the squeak is gone

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
it could still be the rear leaf bushings. I don't know if a spray will penetrate through the bushings, would it?

Sounds wicked annoying. I'm no expert but you've definitely gotta do some searching to find where a random squeak like that could be coming from, I've dealt with quite a few of those too. Spraying suspension bushings was a good place to start, maybe try spraying the snot out of them a bit more. You'll find it eventually.

You really need to find a bump/situation where it squeaks and have someone stand outside the truck and determine which corner it is coming from. (or you need to be that person) You also might be able to do it...having someone bounce up and down on the back bumper or door jams. This is the best way to determine exactly where it is, because the truck isn't rolling and you can stick your head in the wheel well. And believe it or not, putting a paper towel tube to your ear will really help.
I had a squeak and it was coming from the leaf spring clamp/strap. Identified by the above method I just put some grease and it went away. I also had some random ringing noise and that went away when I recently replaced my shocks. All the grommets were completely shot and dried out...I suspect the washers were making contact and making the ringing noise.

    Good Luck

The leaf spring cushions have a tsb to replace them with updated parts on 16-17 model years. Btw Toyota strongly suggest not to apply lubricant to the rear leaf springs. Suggestion is to wash them occasionally clearly written out in the technical service bulletin

OP, my 2021 squeaks, too. It is coming up on warranty, and I want to get it figured out, in case it is something that would need a significant repair.

Mine happens when I come in and out of my driveway with the little curb, speed bumps, etc. It's not all that annoying, but I'd rather know what it is and address it in case there is a bigger issue in play.

Mine does the same. I tried the silicone route, wotked for a while. The noise goes away after I pressure wash the suspension. Could give it a try.

There are a zillion threads on here about squeaks, pops, grinds, and ghosts. The vast majority have nothing of value for determining the root cause.

Based on the very limited info I have, I suspect your leaf springs are squeaking. Mine have squeaked on and off since 2016. I think there is a correlation between dusty/dirty environments and the squeak.

As far as solutions, sometimes cleaning and lubing them has helped. Sometimes ignoring them has helped.

As an aside, my rocking chair was squeaking last night and I decided to do something about it. I had a selection of lubricants to choose from ranging from T9 to hand lotion. I choose a random dry lube in a spray can.

I turned the chair over and tried to locate that insidious squeak. Try as I did, I could not find it. In the end I sprayed that dry lube everywhere until I thought I might pass out from the fumes. The end result was that the squeak was gone and I could continue answering questions about weird noises in Tacomaworld.

OP do you have a factory tonneau cover? The reason I ask is the bolt that locks in place. My Son's had a bad squeak when hitting bumps and after doing everything we opened the cover and squeak went away. Turns out that one bolt can be loose and sounds like the suspension is dry and ready to fall apart. Worked for us.

As already mentioned, there is a tsb. It fixed the squeaking in my 16 immediately.
