Is that a Benjamin Kratos? I’ve wanted a PCP for a couple of years. Mainly my indecision over the one to buy is why I don’t have one.

What’s the SBS Double? Absolutely stunning!

I worked at Intel's Folsom, CA site. When I moved from Unix servers to Storage, it was same group I had been in at Folsom, just different Manager. I managed some Auspex servers, NetApp filers, a couple of HP/Hitachi disk arrays, and some of the first EMC NAS storage systems at Intel. This was late 90's/early 2000's. I never got high enough pay grade at Intel to get stock options.

I traveled to Chandler a few times during my tenure at Intel. Only name I can recall from those day is Dimitrius Weddington, he was a Manager on the Backup & Recovery team at the time. During my first round of unemployment, I interviewed for a Manufacturing IT position at the Fab in Ocotillo, but didn't get it.

Thank you! You sound exactly like me for many years with the PCP's.

SxS is a Dickinson Plantation Sporter though Pacific Sporting Arms, I have 3 of them that I use them for SxS shoots, and regular shooting as well.

12 ga. is 32" it is the hammer of thor, I had an ISIS recoil reducer installed because I have become a bit sensitive to recoil.

And the 16 and 20 for subgauge events

For hunting I prefer FAIR Iside SxS in 16 ga. anymore. Have a custom 30" with beavertail

And 28" splinter for fast shooting in thick woods and coin finish as a rainy day bird gun

Think that I did mention that I like wood and blue :anonymous: OK I may be a bit of a wood whore...

Great eye on the Kratos, and Benjamin does have a military discount program or did when I bought mine. Hunting friend of mine (who drives a FJ) got the bug after shooting my Kratos and he went all out with a FX Airgun. Yes his is a lot nicer and is amazing even though he is thinking of stepping up to a new model now. For me the Kratos will shoot about as good as I am capable of and no regrets. And the FX guns are at least 3x-4x times more money. But they sure are nice.

Have a feeling you are the same as I was and filling the PCP was a bit of a show stopper and confusing. Both my friend and I went with the GX PUMP CS3 PCP Air Compressor. Both compressors have been great so far. Might be something better out there at this point but I know the CS3 has been really good. And for entry level the Kratos has been more than satisfying. Hard for me to not look at the FX guns from time to time, but I can't justify the money. Well I could LOL but it would be a stretch. For me.

Since shotguns are today’s topic, I thought I’d take a couple pics of this gem. I grew up hunting with my dad. This was his favorite shotgun, he had quite a few, all slightly different models. He left me this one when he passed in 2013. It still shoots, but only 2 3/4” shells, and the action is pretty worn and sloppy.

Previous landlord was selling another place. He and his wife were out working in the yard when a couple drove up and asked when they could get keys and move in. Turns out the couple had sent $5000 to someone as down payment. Wasn't my landlord. The couple said they wanted their money back! My landlord ended up calling the police with them to start the process. The ad was on Craigslist with pictures taken from the realtor site. Not cool. I don't understand how people can live with themselves after scamming people like that.

I grew up with pumps, my first shotgun and only one for many years was an Ithaca 37 in 16 ga. Why I still have a bit of a love affair with the 16 ga. Grew up not too far from Ithaca and if you didn't shoot some type of Ithaca in those parts you were considered a bit strange. Or rich. Or from "away".

16 ga. 37RVD was originally full choke I had Briley install thinwall tubes and use it for pump gun shooting events

I like playing the trombone for hunting to this day. Wrists and fingers with arthritis not so much.

@Ret CB It is done, bumper trim is done. New grille and headlights. New sliders are in but going to have to wait until Monday for the install. But it is like I have a "new" 19 GX460 already.

When I brought it home a few months ago, you know exactly what they look like ;)

First 17" 4Runner TRD Pro alloy wheels with 265/70r17 Wildpeak AT3W tires

Yesterday dropped it off and took a final picture of the front pre surgery.

Just picked it up a little while ago and VERY pleased with it. More modern and much better approach angle

Sidesteps get whacked and sliders go on Monday. Once it warms up I'll start work on the 3rd row seat delete for storage and the dog condo. The Dawgs will be riding in style and Luxury this Fall! Just hope they don't get hit by a skunk, that is one advantage of a pickup over a SUV LOL.
