Water got into gas because circle k got water in their gas pumps . Mobile mechanic emptied my gas tank , had to drop the tank to do so but I don’t believe he put everything back correct . Anyways I was leaking gas a Little , tried to fix it but now I don’t know what to do . Where do these fuel lines go ? Do these look correct ?

Damn, I can *try* to pull up some pictures if I have them from when I helped my buddy disconnect everything and drop his tank.

    Give me a bit.

That’s not a factory hose and not the correct clamp.
Looks like the clamp let loose and the hose blew off.

Damn, I deleted them all and this is all I've got left so hopefully it helps.

Pulling the bed off is easy, just helps having one person on each side to lift it up and out.

I would love to know what line That might not be Fuel Injection hose for sure not a FI hose clamp.

If you paid to have this done I would be on the phone to have it made correct.

Have you gone after Circle K to pay for the water in your tank repair cost? They carry insurance for these mishaps.

It might go so far as to the fuel farm where that load of gas was bought from.

It’s not a huge deal if it’s a return line.
But it came off for a reason, hoses don’t normally just blow off.

I’m not sure if this means anything but when I start my car gas pours out of the little holes on my filler neck .

After one vehicle fire any fuel leak is a major problem!!

Even more so seeing the aftermath of a friends daughter that did not get out of the burning vehicle.

It means you now get to file claims against the mobile mechanic as well as Circle K

So I figured out all my evap and where my lines go and everything. Also for those who are wondering circle k reimbursed me for the repairs done already , the mechanic charged my 200$ plus parts and circle k covered it all (which is why I didn’t care what the mechanic charged). And the mobile “mechanic” lives 4 hours away as I was away on a business trip when I needed his services . Now it looks like I got everything routed but it looks like I flooded my carbon canister and my car will throttle but not idle . It’s not leaking gas anymore but how do I clear my carbon canister ?

Remove it turn it so it can drain or replace would be the only way I know.

like in the old days it vented to the air

I’m not sure if it’s being flooded or what’s up with it but it won’t idle , you can throttle it up and it will spit and sputter and die down . All evap lines look like there are hooked up correctly where should I disconnect my carbon canister ?

This line keeps sucking in a vacuum and then popping off

If confirmed ‘bad gas’ from a fuel station is a covered loss if you have COMP coverage
    Now
    Average fuel flush is $1200-$2000
    (Dealership labor hours and cost)

I would not dare call my insurance company bc your rates will rise…..basically bc you called in a claim

I always joke with experienced mechanics……i(ins adjuster)should just pay for
    1-new battery
    2-new starter
3-labor for tech to remove and install fuel supply/return lines
    4-new fuel

let the pump take out all water/fuel!

If you need a new battery and starter after draining a tank, you did it wrong.
Jump the pump relay, or direct power at a connector.

    Ha!^^^^
    Even easier!
(I have to give some labor/parts to techs)

naw I would never do both above scenarios dealing with work
    Got to pay
    But
I know for a fact that some mechanics just use shop vac or manual crank pump to remove water….. let vehicle idle for 2 days and have owner pick up…..after the $2500 estimate paid for

of course this is assuming that there is a access panel to the top of the tank(not for trucks)

@Johnar92 this is T4R but pretty much identical to the 03-04 3.4 (minus the 90999-92002 hoses)

the hose in your pic that keeps popping off is 17360B and does go to the VSV
