Is anyone running both the add-a-leaf 1.5” AND the air bags in the rear? Would this work rather than replacing the entire leaf pack? I purchased a smartcap from RSI and upgraded my suspension to 2.5” in front/1.5” rear. I already added the icon 1.5” add-a-leaf but would like to incorporate the air bags as well to support the weight, without adding additional lift to what I already have. Would running the add a leaf and air bags together lift the rear more or would it just support the lift I have?

It won't add more lift, unless you put a lot of air in bags. But with 1.5 lift ( icon spring ) you will need to add bracket/spacer for air bags to work properly. I wouldn't go thst direction. The icon add a leaf isn't going to hold up with that RSI smart cap.. I would do new leaf pack. I carried 300 to 500lb in mine alot and 3 leaf add a leaf didn't hold up.

Thanks for the info. I will most likely replace the whole leaf spring pack with a heavy duty one.

FWIW, I bought an ‘Ironman Stage 2’ lift kit a few years ago but decided to sell the IM leaf packs and install single AAL’s and AirLift airbags instead. Still happy with my choice today...

Also, the airbags mounted in front of the axle without any interference from the AAL’s. I usually run about 30psi for everyday driving and that keeps the rear at about 1.5 - 2” over stock height..
