Anybody have solid information on why Toyota from the 2020 MY on discontinued three wire connections on the DLC3 connector? I have a 2021.
    They were:
TC a Green wire from the Engine ECM - I am thinking this was Torque Converter. Possibly to command a lock up?
TAC a Beige wire from the Engine ECM - I am thinking this was Tachometer. Information available from anywhere in the vehicle.
    &
TS a red wire from the Skid Control ECU - I have absolutely no idea what this could have been.

The wires have been completely removed all the way back to their respective modules.

    Schematic attached for your perusal.

    Hmm strange indeed .
It was manadatory all the way back in 1996 to make certain information avalailable to the general public using the assembly line diagnostic connector ( OBD2 ) .
The information Toyota released was minamal at best back then
I dont see Toyota changing their strategy by changing the color of the wires .
Might be a ploy by Toyota for automotive shops to continue paying for expensive Techstream scanners to properly diagnose Toyota vehicles ?
