The Lexus GX550 gets the Tundra twin turbo and 10spd. There was the SEMA Xrunner concept with the 3.5tt. Toyota could build a production Tacoma with this drive train. I'd like more HP & TQ with out going iForceMax hybrid, I also have no idea how well the 8spd auto performs I can't recall hearing any issues regarding the 10L65. Maybe Lexus will enter the midsize truck market and make this happen.

Toyota rarely makes engine adjustments in generations.

The 3rd gen had zero changes. 2nd gen got air pumps on V6, thats it.

The '23 GX has a V8, so it makes sense going to the TTV6 for the '24 MY. Also, it's important to note that the engine in the GX550 isn't the exact same as the Tundra. For example, the GX has smaller turbos.

One can never have too many light bars.
Man I remember the conversation 10 years ago on this site being "When will the 2nd gen refresh get the 4.6L V8 from the GX 460 and Tundra?" Glad to see it's still going. Answer is no by the way.

I was busy yesterday so i'm trying to catch up on my trolling. BTW what would the best oil be for a 3.5TT if it hypothetically was in a Tacoma? I personally would use Mobil Jet Oil #254. If it is good enough for the M1 Abrams, its good enough for my Tacoma.

Would you pay for that SEMA XRunner if they made it to production, let's say $60k? I think that's fair price
