Nothing fancy just something to get around and go on the occasional trail ,KD max tune, Dry filter aFe intake. TE37X 16×8 -20offset wrapped in 285/75R16 Yokohama Geolandar M/T. Fox 2.0 up front and fox 2.0 with resi non-adjustable.
So I was pulling my transmission off to do the clutch and I snagged the wire above and pulled the pins out of the plug, my question is can anyone help me figure out the order of the wires going into the plug? I have tried finding the diagram but no luck.

I can't share pictures, but the connector is EE1 someone can look it up.

    Left to right.

    Red to Black
    White to Green
    Black to Yellow
    White to Black

    Super confusing of course.

I'd almost want to change that stupid coolant bypass right now, its a bitch to change with the trans in.

Also, thats a 3.5 3rd gen no? Wrong section?

How did you re-crimp the wires to the terminals?

I have a pigtail kit for special occasions like this haha, but seriously i get asked a lot to fix rodent damage so i figured it would come in handy.... just stripped a bit of the sheathing and put brand new tails in.

    That was fast lol.

We used to have a full pin repair kit at my old indie shop, its a god send in these moments.

Nissans used to have a crank sensor that would break unless you knew to remove it first, it was idiotic. But just shows that shit happens, you fix it and move on.

Ah ok, I just wanted to make sure you didn't just stuff the wires back in the connector and call it good because you would have been scratching your head as to why you had knock sensor codes afterwards.

I used to hate the 4.7, then the 5.7 came out and made me hate it more.

Now I prefer them to be under the intake.

Now the hybrid trucks use the MG1 as a starter, but also have a starter as a backup. Because reasons.

I don't mind doing them but we don't have rust here, that seems like the only thing that ever breaks on Tundras here aside from thieves liking to steal the catyletic converters off them.

I've gotten them down to about 2-2.5 hrs but that stupid plastic connector breaks on almost every one.

Just got done working a gx470 with rodent damage to the knock sensors Told my buddy to get the starter as it'll be opened up and thankfully he agreed.

Yea the old Cadillac Northstar engines and Nissan Titans were under the intake like that as well but they weren't too bad to do.

On 2nd gen Tundras it's under the RH exhaust manifold, it gets cooked there and you have to remove the manifold to replace it.

They aren’t bad at all really (the Titan at least) yet everybody loves to bitch how terrible the design is and that that’s why mechanics hate engineers. It’s really only people who don’t know that complain.

My wife had a 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan for about 14 years. In that time I replaced the timing belt and water pump twice and did spark plugs I think 3 times.
You had to remove the intake manifold on that van to get to the back spark plugs so it was almost as bad a doing the timing belt and water pump.
I'm not a professional mechanic so I'm likely not nearly as efficient as some of you on here.
I think I'd rather do the starter under the intake.
