Broken bolts skid plate

    my neighbor want's me to help him remove 2 broken bolts from the skid plate. i don't have easy outs, any ideas how to go about removing them?

    Any nub to get a vice grip on?

    Why are they broken? If someone cross threaded them it could be tougher.

    Weld a nut on if possible. It’s a better process than easy outs

    will check if nub, but doubt it. what about drilling it out and use a nut and bolt? not sure if there is access to the top side to put a nut on.

    must have been cross threaded after last oil change.

    don't have any yet but it broke off at the hole nothing to grab on.
    i see the nut is inside the frame so he will most likely stick with the zip ties someone put on. at least it is the 2 front bolts so the skid plate is held up by the hooks.

    Large washer over the nub then weld a nut through the washer to the nub.

    he has a sport, took of that black plastic air dam thing and there were the nuts with the end of the bolts coming thru about a 1/4" could not turn them with vice grips so we drilled them out. there was still enough thread left and the new bolts tightened down..
