Hey all, been trying to fix my slowly failing Tacoma before selling it. The speedometer recently failed, bought a code reader, figured it was drivers side, replaced with OEM sensor, (this was before the speedometer failed) after replacing that sensor, my speedometer started to fail slowly, I’d hit a bump and it would go down to 0 then back to my speed and so on. It finally just stopped working altogether. I now also have a p0500 code. I’ve read that if the speedometer doesn’t work, it’s most likely a speed sensor issue. Can anybody confirm this? Can anybody point me in a direction to look next? Thanks!
