    Looking to get off the beaten path a bit - but a rookie offroader and camper. I'd love to find a place off a relatively easy trail (stock 22 Sport) where I can camp in a secluded spot. Bonus would be by some water or with a view. Looking to go in the Spring.

    Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

    Maybe @crazyfingers or @fatfurious2 can offer some ideas. I know there are others too.

    There is a VA thread you could ask in, if you don’t know about it.

    Head west to GW National Forest. Plenty there. Id also look up Flagpole Knob, Switzer Lake, Sleepy Creek WV, and Long Run Rd

    There are a lot of easy forest roads out there, with plenty of dispersed camping. As it starts to warm up temp wise… it gets busy with the campers.

    @Fishersehorn31

    Forgot to add this.. open and play with it. You can zoom in and click on roads or trails and see the info. Stuff like length, bicycle/pack and saddle only and so on. And just because a FR (forest road says passenger car suitable, doesn’t necessarily mean paved). Have fun with it.

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/ivm/

    Examples of what info is displayed when clicking on a trail, road.

    If you don’t mind a little driving, when it gets warm Green Ridge State Park is awesome. Dispersed camping, tons of trails, and you can camp by the river to go tubing.
