I found a place to tune my hot saws that is equivalent to Tuolumne and North Fork’s elevations.

As I was contemplating the tune after a successful morning there, I looked past where I was at and saw the coolest trail. Looked steep, but I’m not sure. Near power pole 33 to the west.

I’ve looked in Apples Maps and trails everywhere, with RV’s sprinkled about in them hills.

I'm not even from the area, but still am intrigued.

Not that particular spot. Usually head a little further to jawbone/dove springs. Might have to check that out.

I do the same, up to jawbone when I feel like wheeling in sand. But this trail, which can be seen well with the naked eye from where I was at, looks like wonderful scenery.

Looks like jawbone canyon, there's a nice trail that goes to the top of those hills but I typically on do it with my RZR. If it's the one that goes up and over and under the pipelines it can get tight in some spots.

If you are 4x4 you can take jawbone rd all the way down to the T and take a right, you'll eventually see little signs that say, "No green sticker vehicles allowed" that's where the trail ends for me. But I have seen plenty of Overland groups roll past there since they are street legal and on the map when I was there I think that trail drops you into lake Isabella (have seen some pretty large crews of endoro's take it since they are street legal).

I'm pretty sure trail LA2 will take you a good little ways and it drops you right into dove springs.

    It’s south of Jawbone.

I’ve taken that trail that leads one to the lake, but not all the way. Real nice drive. I need to go back someday and finish it.

But this trail I asked about , talk about a lure.

It's just a hill climb trail off the LA aqueduct trail. There are hundreds of them that go up the hills as you drive north on LA1 and2 but you have to be careful which ones you pic, some are only doable on dirt bikes. We live in Cal City and have run most of them in our FJ's and the Tacoma, some are too narrow and too steep for 4X4.

Good stuff, thank you for the intel. There’s one such trail at Hungry Valley, where on one entrance there is a sign that shows a blue square alongside a jeep. That indicates a moderate trail. At the other end of the trail, the gate is closed and only dirt bikes are allowed. Makes me wonder how many trucks and 4 wheelers got stuck up there.

Always best when it comes from locals
