Were you pleasantly surprised or did you cringe with what you found about your truck's life prior to your ownership?
I bought my truck in TN. had its first Oil change @ 961 miles, second @ 6300 and third @ 15,200 with 5000-6000 miles intervals subsequently. It had the 30 K and 60K services. It had a full detail and claybar treatment as well.
It was interesting to see the miles progress. as the guy put most of them on with long highway drives and that was evident with several months that averaged pretty high, followed by months with low miles. Previous owner had told me he used the truck for sales business and traveled to the East Coast from the Knoxville area.

I was comforted to see the long list of maintenance prior to me getting behind the wheel.

I always entered my maintenance in the owners website, went to enter in the 60k service after doing all of that and the truck has been wiped from my account. So I wouldn't put much stock in the owner's site. Moving forward, I will keep paper or off-line records of maintenance performed.

I used to take my Toyota vehicles to the dealer for oil changes during the warranty period just so it got documented. Out of warranty it do everything myself. I keep paper records for myself but never entered my work on the Toyota web site. When I sell or trade my 2016, someone will get a meticulously maintained truck regardless of what my VIN shows.

I am not sure what I will do during future warranty periods. If I have to drop the filter housing to make sure the dealer put in the oil filter element I might as well do the oil change myself.

yeah, it's henky AF! My truck and records are still there, but their site went down for months. I emailed them, and was told they were "updating" and I think it went back live late last year. While my truck and it's info is there, I had to go back and correct one of the dates, it was showing as a garbled up no traditional date code. In fact, I had to go back more than once to fix it. So essentially, I could go in there now, and enter alleged maintenance from years past, of course that is the self reporting part.

I read that thread, I hope they did the full changes before I owned it... but that is out of my hands now.
I had it to my local dealer ( where I have purchased several vehicles) once to get the trans TSB and had an Oil Change after I bought it. I have done my oil in the driveway since but didn't note it in the Toyota owners. I plan on doing my trans/ Diff service this spring in the driveway.
I still have the brake light TSB open so may be taking it back to the dealer for that eventually, since I have to remove my cap first.
