So I have been rocking clazzio seat covers for less than a year in my 2018 access cab. The seat bottom failed within like 4 months of purchase. The fabric started tearing apart in the center of the seat. Clazzio was super cool about getting this replaced for me. Then maybe a month later, the seatback started coming apart near the lower back area. I use my truck a lot, but I’m not a huge guy at 160 lbs. I don’t think seat covers should fail this soon, but that’s me. The problem is now when I contact clazzio, they don’t pick up. I have texted, called, left voicemails and emailed. I’m not thrilled with the low quality seat covers, or with the lack of communication. Thanks for ghosting me! I would not reccomend clazzio.

i have a tear in the seat bolster on drivers side. my use is extremely low. should not have happened. timewise, well out of warranty so i did not even try.
disappointed but it looked good for years sitting in garage mostly. just don't sit on it :D

edit: no pic. it is just a crack in the cover about 2 inches long. almost
looks like it was sliced, but i know it was not. i carry nothing sharp in pockets. it just cracked last summer iirc. possibly due to uneven stitching. There is evidence of that in other spots but did not seem significant enough to complain. i have duct tape over it now to try to stop it from getting worse.

edit2: and i conditioned everything at least once a year.

edit3: now that you posted a pic, our failures are completely different. mine is a clean crack and yours appears to be a wear/rub.

First photo is ~2 weeks after the first little damage started. 2nd photo is today. Overly ripe banana for scale

That damage appears to have come from something on your person like a leatherman. That does not look like a manufacturer failure.

I mean it’s right in the middle of his lower back, it would be very uncomfortable to put anything there, unless he carries a gun or knife right between his butt cheeks.

I've filed at least six well documented warranty claims with pictures and proof of purchase to Husky, for what are inexcusable defects in their floor liners fresh out of the box, and I've heard nothing but crickets. Tried to save a buck over the WeatherTechs that have never failed me and paid the difference in a total lack of customer support.

Glad you posted this OP, I'm running Wet Ocole covers, and while bulletproof, I was looking to move into something a little cooler come summer. I had been considering them, but Clazzios are now off the list. I'll pay more up front to avoid grief down the road.

That's a weird location for wear... typically you see the most wear in the bolsters, not the center of your lower back... kind of makes me think something "poked" into the seat at that location.

If you remove the seat cover, there is probably deeper damage to the factory seat, I suspect. Seat covers are not designed to be armor against pens/knives/mechanical-parts/etc.

I mean I know for sure there’s not damage beneath. I bought the truck new and I’m the only owner. It does have 145,000 miles… so I definitely use my truck a lot. The seats for sure do show normal wear and tear, and they looked that way prior to install. But nothing has poked or damaged the covers or seats beyond normal use. In my opinion

Might be worth taking off and looking. I had an old Corolla that had springs starting to poke through the seats at 150k. I agree with the others that that is an odd spot for wear. Mine are almost 5 years old and the only sign of wear is on the outer side of the drivers seat on the bottom.

Just curious, how long have you been trying to get ahold of them regarding this issue?

Thats junky vinyl delaminating, not a harpoon puncture. You guys are in denial because you dont want to think your own will fail I imagine.

Looks to be stretched a bit when put on and its just failing.

Vinyl and PU leather are going to break down with light, time, cleaners and what not.

Material pulled too tight causing the split when you sit all the way back. Someone probably cut the pattern a touch short. Part of the problem with covers. You can't get hog rings behind it.

So I started the contact process about the seatback maybe 6 weeks ago? And I was told at that point that they were going to send out a replacement for me. But they never did. And it’s been probably the last 2 weeks I’ve been trying to get ahold of them.

And I have to agree with spamy, I could have very well stressed the fabric out during install. I felt like I was wrestling these covers at times when I was putting them on. Definitely tight fitting.

I don't have Clazzios, so I have no dog in the fight...

But you also contradict yourself, when you say it's wear (rubbing failure), but then admit it likely got "poked" too hard, perhaps by OP's fingers while installing them.

Regardless, I can see why Clazzio may feel it's "abuse" and not a manufacturer's defect. Honestly, there are plenty of Clazzio owners on this site and this is far from a common problem... which leads most of us to conclude it's likely "abuse".
