Alright I'm gonna try to keep this short and sweet.
04 Tacoma, fuel pump went out
    Replaced fuel pump
But I fd up and crossed the wires
Then had to go back in and resolve problem
    But still not getting fuel.
    EFI solenoid is good
If you cross the wires for the fuel pump does it burn up the fuel pump? Any comments or advice would help.

Do you have power and ground at the pump when cranking the engine?

    Then it should be pumping.

How are you checking for fuel pressure, do you have a gauge?

That's my thoughts too. But no, no gauge. Haven't checked pressure. But I know it's not building any.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
How many times have you cranked the truck ??

Did you also change the filter ??

Many times when changing a fuel pump dirt gets knocked loose and clogs the filter.

Did you manage to install all the lines correct?

If your getting system Voltage to the pump while cranking it seems every thing is working.

The wires to the pump's DC motor are +12V and ground. I've never miswired a DC motor before, but I don't think doing so will burn a DC motor out. If your crossed wires burned out the motor then the motor will not turn and you'll hafta get another one.

If you wire a DC motor backwards it will run backwards. Do you hear the fuel pump motor at all when cranking it ?

When I did my fuel pump I’d didn’t realize I broke the retaining clip on the harness.
Put tank back in truck etc, wouldn’t start

retainen was gone but the harness still felt like I plugged it in all the way
