A little something every chance we get.
:plane: Good Morning Porch Pals and Sue! Out to the hangar for Ground Scool classes today, and the Wing Meeting. Got my online classes done this week. School is mostly for Maintaners and Pilots/Crews, but I'll never get any closer to useful work if I don't take them. Have a great Saturday everyone.

Currently 60° and strong T storms with heavy rainfall

My lightning strike indicator on my weather app has been showing numerous lightning strikes from 0.050 to 0.00 miles from my location . Spring severe weather season starts in about a month here in Middle Tennessee

I might be interested in renting the apartment, if you decide to let that go.

The new place would be interesting but I think she should compromise with you. Build your 6 stall garage and workshop, put a loft in it for her. You guys to live in and both of you will be happy. I had a chance to work at a lake house 5 years ago the guy had this huge garage with 2 - 2 bedroom guest suites above it, while his house was under construction. That place had 4 bedrooms the master suite was 1800 sqft no pictures were allowed while working there. I was helping to put transom windows on 3 16ft patio doors. Along with assembling several large windows on sight that were too big for shipping.

I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on a house on six acres which came up near us two years back; the house? I wasn't all that thrilled about it, but it passed my wife's muster. One cool feature was the two car garage which was effectively part of the heated basement, so winter time work was much more enjoyable. But wait, there's more; out back was a brand new slab with an office, a store room, and a SIX CAR GARAGE! :frusty:

I knew a guy with one of those. He had a couch set up in a corner with a TV and computer right next to the microwave and fridge. He slept on the couch. Most of the space in his garage was taken up by junk he was storing for other people that asked him if they could store something. There was a boat that had been there and never moved for over ten years. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff was stored and forgotten.

In my mind, the only thing better would be say, an 8-car garage plus a small hangar at the end, and behind all that a small grass runway. :)

I had a friend, retired navy pilot/aircraft mechanic, that had a hangar with a 1500 sq' living quarters in the rafters, and he worked on planes in the hangar area. Perfect arrangement. Drove out his front door onto the runway taxi strip.Living the dream.

If you did it's the best money to do it with. Free money, kinda like free beer, it always tastes better. Till you have to supply the free Beer. I have a relative that if you went out drinking with him he always bought the first round and order 1 drink, when it was the next person's turn he'd order 2 or 3. If it came around to him again back to one.:annoyed:

Good morning all. Rested up from an exhausting afternoon of house hunting. OMG I cannot believe what we saw yesterday, it’s an absolute sin how builders are buying up miles and miles of the most beautiful horse farms and cramming houses on the land. Nice enough houses, but they’re only 10’ apart in every direction. I mean really, 10’ from your back door is someone else’s back door. Look out a side window and 10’ away is another house. And many of the new house designs don’t have a dining room just a large open kitchen and family room. Whatever happened to sit down family meals? And every new subdivision has things called DRAs, or dry retention areas. They’re just giant f*ing holes about the size of a football field, 8 or 10 foot deep low spots where I guess all the storm water is supposed to drain. And people are paying premiums for a building lot that backs up to a hole. Oh hell no. There are some very nice older established neighborhoods we need to look in because I can’t imagine spending our golden years in something like that.

I would be firm on the garage. Just make sure the wife has what she wants in the house.

Nice. I would not mind a Kamado grill. I do not see my wife approving that purchase.

Chuck. If you have not had a lower back MRI in the last year you might want to consider one. I have Arthur in my spinal column and stretching helps me tremendously.

Good morning. Today is help my cousin move back into her condo day. Going to be a fun morning. Will watch the Superbowl and if the score is close than watch the second half. I will be glad when it is over. We will be having flank steak and shrimp tacos tonight.
