I called a bunch of Toyota dealers wanting get one of the new 2024’s even though the premium package is overpriced. Just about all of them were putting $2k - $5k markups on top of MSRP. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay that price for a Taco or wait to see if demand softens. So I went all in on a major upgrade. 2024 GMC Sierra Denali. WOW what a difference. I love the truck and sure hope I don’t regret the decision. It’s been a great 13 years with my Prerunner but I’m moving on. Best of luck to all.IMG_3244.jpg

    Nice truck.

You can stick around. You don't need a Tacoma to hang out here.

Will do when it finally stops raining. I went with the Atmosphere/Brownstone dark brown. I like it much better than the black.

That GMC in that color is beautiful. Our unmarks just got some of those. One in that color but the Silverado RST package.

The seats are so much more comfortable and actually fit an adult male.

    Congrats! Beautiful truck!
I would say that Ford and Chevy are polar opposites in many ways - not better or worse but different, and GMC is a slicker nicer version of the Chev. Toyota more favors the Ford aspect in many ways. And going from a 2nd Gen to a current production vehicle is a huge step up in technology. Then follow that with a Mid-Size to a FULL Size and it is again another huge jump. That thing ought to be like driving around on Cloud 9.

We'll miss you and you might miss us but I doubt you'll miss the difference between the two trucks. Enjoy that pretty new truck!

Do tease us a bit - what's the first mod?

If you don’t mind me asking, why not the new Tundra or Sequoia?

Congratulations, man. GM makes nice trucks and full sizes have lots of advantages over mid sizes.

    .

What do you mean that Toyota and Ford are similar? I'd be curious to hear more.

Thanks. All weather floor mats, mud flaps, window tints and a rear seat cover for the dogs. I don’t think there will be any other mods.

I had a Tahoe with the 5.3L that was super reliable so that probably steered me in the GM direction. I’ve driven Rams and like them as well but not a fan of their giant screen infotainment/air conditioning control system. I was looking at the Tundra but I like the styling of the GMC better. Finally, the Toyota folks are really proud of their product and don’t seem as willing to make a deal. I got a great deal on the Sierra at under invoice including the 10 yr./100k extended warranty.

I looked at a Capstone Tundra the other day. They started dropping the price a bit to 79k.

Nice looking truck. Hope it does you well.

Thanks, I do like the Capstone but walked out the door for less than the price of them with the extended warranty. The deal was a big reason I pulled the trigger.

    Form Follows Function Philosophy.
    Less feature rich than GM.
GM feels more cushy like a car.
Ford and Toyota (at least the Taco) feels more like a truck.
