Is it possible to change the "flasher relay" so the turn signal flashes 3 times not once?

Is it possible to change the "flasher relay" so when you hit the turn signal stalk, the turn signal activates 3 times not just once?

I think diode dynamics has modules that may be able to do this

If I'm reading his first post right, that wouldn't do what the OP wants anyways. He wants the blinker to blink 3 times for every single pulse of the relay. I don't see how that would happen without some custom pcb work with a micro controller.

OP- You could likely find someone on 12volt.com to help you build a schematic for a custom board. If you're looking for a plug & play device, then no. I'm not sure why you would want to do that anyways. That would make your blinkers strobe.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the courtesy blink feature most newer cars have.

That relay will work for TRD trucks, but you lose trailer lights and DRL’s.

Up to you. Do you tow? Do you care about your hitch lights? Do you use your DRL’s?

I have that relay on my truck (Base SR5 4X4). Can confirm that you will no longer have DRLs or trailer lights (the running tail lights still work, but the turn signal and brake lights don't IIRC).

What it gives you is arrival/departure lights, control over your hazards, the ability to control the number of blinks when you bump the turn signal switch, and no hyper flash with LED turn signals.

I plan to require my 7-pin trailer hook-up before I need to tow again to fix the no trailer lights issue, but it's definitely something to consider if you go this route.
