I have a 3rd gen TRD Sport and have made the following two modifications to my wheels.

    • 1 inch Rough Country Wheel Spacers
    • TRD PRO 17 Inch OEM Matte Black 6 Lug Rims (Tires are Firestone Destintation P265/65R17)

Tires came stock and not changing them until they wear out but want to get something meaty!

I would like to know if anyone has comments/suggestions on what I could do so i no longer have rubbing when i make a sharp turn or the suspension compresses.. This will likely get worse when i finally upgrade the tires in the not to distant future.

Is a lift the only answer? Would a leveling kit work? All feedback is appreciated. Thanks

If you take off the spacers it won't rub.

High caster alignment will help, you ask the shop to max the rear eccentrics to get the wheel more forward.

most of the time simply removing the front mud flaps is all that’s needed though

no mud flaps.. not sure if its rubbing against the lower trim on the front of the bumper which i believe is specific to the sport models..

I would also clarify, these are OEM Rims but i believe the off-set on TRD PRO rims is greater then the offset on the stock TRD rims the truck came with.

You negated the positive offset when you added the 1” spacer. I believe the Pro offset is +4 . So with the added spacer the wheel is now -20 offset.
